Updo Fun for HOT Days!

I apologize for the lack of posts we have been out of town for the last week.  We played as a family all last week in the warm sun at the lake here is one of the hairstyles.  As I have mentioned before my daughter hates to have her hair down when its hot.

I started by making 2 french braids up her hair starting from the bottom of her head (as shown below)

Then I took a small amount of hair and pulled it just above her ear (this was to keep her bangs out of her face).  I left a small amount of hair just above her hair along the face line.  This will be used to cover the elastic. (see picture below.)
Pull all the remaining hair except the small amount of hair along the hair line into a ponytail.
Shown below is the hair left out of the ponytail temporarily.

Take the remaining hair and pull it across the elastic and secure it around the ponytail.
Then make a messy bun with all the hair.

2 Braids to Updo

I started by making 2 diagonal frenchbraids that go back to the crown of her head.
Once the braids are secured with elastics I pulled the sides of her hair out of the way with a clip.
Now pull the 2 ends of the braids and secure together with an elasic in the center of the hair you have in the clip.  The hair left down is going to hide the elastics.
Pull up the both sides as shown below.
Secure both the sides in the center of her head with an elastic *Shown Below*
Now take all the hair into a ponytail form and twist it upward.  I secured her twist with a lot of bobby pins.  I also asked her if the twist felt tight, I kept adding bobby pins until she said it felt tight.

Fun Up Do

I started by making a few parts along the front and sides of her hair as shown below in the next 4 pictures
I put the remaining center hair into an elastic.
Below is the parts on the right side of her head.
Below is the parts on the left side of her head.
Next I took the hair on her right side above her ear and wrapped it around the ponytail.
Then I took the hair on the front of her head and rolled it as shown below then I wrapped it around her ponytail.
On the left side I took her bangs and swooped them toward the side before I started rolling that hair and securing it around the ponytail as well.
Then roll the hair just above her ear and attach it to the ponytail.
I used bobbie pins to make the messy bun lay flat to her head.  I also added a pink ribbon that I wrapped around the ponytail and tied in a bow at the bottom.

Heart Fun

Start by making a small ponytail on one side of her head (you will repeat on the other side too.)
Take the hair and make a twist from the back side forward.  Then split the hair into 2 pieced.
Pull the 2 pieces around give them a little twist so they keep the hear shape. I secured the bottom of the heart with another small ponytail. Do this to both sides.
Then take all the hair and make a ponytail (don't pull the hair all the way through we are going to make a messy bun)
Last step make a messy bun.

More Valentine Rockin Bobbie Pin Fun

We have had so much fun with the Rockin Bobbie Pins.

I started by rolling her bangs back towards the side of her head and securing with a bobbie pin.

Next I pulled all of her hair into a high ponytail.

Then I made ringlets with my curling iron.

Then I used the bobbie pins to pull the ringlets up next to her head.

Below are several pictures taken of how I put the bobbie pins into her hair.

2 Messy Buns

Sorry it has been awhile since my last post I have been out of town on a business trip but I am back and here is another hair style.
Make a part in the center of her head. Then take a small section and pull the hair through to make a twist.

Take another small section of hair and pull it through to make another twist.
Do this to both sides of her head.

The picture below is a picture of the top of her head.

Make 2 ponytails and on the final flip of the elastic don't pull all the way through.

We then made messy buns with elastics and bobby pins

The picture below is a picture of the side of her head.

Fun Updo!

Start by making a very far left part on the top of her hair pull the hair down to her ear. Then twist the hair

Once the hair is twisted secure it with an elastic into a small pony tail at the bottom of her hair.
(I always do a diagonal part on the bottom of her hair also you will have 2 of these small ponytails at the bottom of her hair when finished.)
Do this step on both sides of her head one will be bigger with a far side part and the other will be done with a small amount on the other side.

Then take the remaining hair and pull it into a ponytail.

After the hair is in a ponytail then very last don't pull the hair all the way through and leave the ends still in the ponytail.
